Als Werkstudent:in (m/w/d) im Bereich Machine Learning / KI Engineering unterstützt du unser Tech- und Data-Team bei der Entwicklung, Optimierung und Evaluierung unserer KI-Modelle. Du arbeitest direkt an unseren Training Pipelines, kümmerst dich um saubere und gut balancierte Datensätze und trägst dazu bei, dass unsere Modelle effizient, zuverlässig und performant trainiert werden

In enger Zusammenarbeit mit unseren Data Scientists und ML Engineers unterstützt du Experimente, Benchmark-Analysen und die kontinuierliche Verbesserung unserer ML-Infrastruktur. Darüber hinaus entwickelst und wartest du interne Tools, die unsere Trainingsprozesse automatisieren und beschleunigen.

Deine Aufgaben bei uns:

KI-Training: Unterstützung beim Trainieren und Testen von KI-Modellen (inkl. der Zusammenstellung und Balancing von Datensätzen, sowie das Starten, Monitoring und Auswertung von KI-Trainings).
Experimentieren: Implementierung von Experimenten & Durchführung von Benchmark-Tests.
Tool-Entwicklung: Programmierung interner Tools zur Optimierung der Trainingsprozesse.
Prozessverbesserung: Mitarbeit an der Weiterentwicklung unserer ML-Workflows und Infrastruktur.
Teamarbeit: Enge Zusammenarbeit mit Data Scientists und ML Engineers in laufenden Projekten.

Deine Erfahrungen sind relevant:

Du bist eingeschriebene:r Student:in im Bereich Informatik, Computer Science, Data Science, Computational Engineering, Mathematik oder einem vergleichbaren technischen Studiengang.
Du hast großes Interesse an praxisorientierter KI-Entwicklung.
Du hast bereits erste Erfahrung in Python und im Training von PyTorch Modellen (idealerweise im Bereich Image Recognition)
Du arbeitest strukturiert, analytisch und hast ein Auge für saubere Daten.
Du verfügst über sehr gute Englischkenntnisse und bist sehr kommunikativ.
Du fühlst dich in einem dynamischen Umfeld wohl, in dem Eigenverantwortung, Hands-on-Mentalität und Flexibilität gefragt sind.
Du bist proaktiv und zuverlässig – auch wenn’s mal kompliziert wird.
Du bist ein:e Teamplayer:in mit einem starken Drive für Verantwortung und Ownership.

Your mission

As a Machine Learning / AI Engineering Working Student (m/f/d), you will support our tech and data team in the development, optimisation and evaluation of our AI models. You will work directly on our training pipelines, ensure clean and well-balanced data sets, and help to ensure that our models are trained efficiently, reliably and performantly.

Working closely with our data scientists and ML engineers, you will support experiments, benchmark analyses and the continuous improvement of our ML infrastructure. In addition, you will develop and maintain internal tools that automate and accelerate our training processes.

Your responsibilites with us:

AI Training: Support in training and testing AI models (including compiling and balancing data sets, as well as starting, monitoring and evaluating AI training).
Experimentation: Implementing experiments and conducting benchmark tests.
Tool Development: Programming of internal tools to optimise training processes.
Process Improvement: Collaboration on the further development of our ML workflows and infrastructure.
Teamwork: Close collaboration with our data scientists and ML engineers on ongoing projects.

Your profile

You are a registered student in the field of computer science, data science, computational engineering, mathematics or a comparable technical degree programme.
You have a keen interest in practical AI development.
You already have some experience with Python and training PyTorch models (ideally in the field of image recognition).
You work in a structured, analytical manner and have an eye for clean data.
You are fluent in English and are very communicative.
You feel comfortable in a dynamic environment where personal responsibility, a hands-on mentality and flexibility are required.
You are proactive and reliable – even when things get complicated.
You are a team player with a strong drive for responsibility and ownership.
